Weihenstephaner Brewery
Museum and tour
The oldest part of the brewery is the museum – this is where we start our tour, surrounded by historic brick walls.
Then it’s off to the brewhouse and the storage cellars – dive deep into the brewing process! Exciting details, amazing stories about our history and much more await you.
Tasting
“Those who work should be rewarded” – and that’s what we do at a tasting of Weihenstephan beers! Enjoy a selection under expert guidance.
The starter “Weihenstephaner Schmankerlplatte” (Weihenstephan delicacy platter) is included:
Marinated antipasti vegetables (courgettes, peppers, baby peppers stuffed with cream cheese and olives, served with Parmesan shavings), grissini sticks with country ham, South Tyrolean premium bacon sticks, Obazda with red onions, Bresaol rolls with fig mustard goat’s cream cheese and rocket, noble salami, radishes, chive breads, meatballs, served with a variety of farmhouse breads, baguettes and pretzels.
Bus transfer Weihenstephan >> LRZ >> Garching
After the tasting you have the option of a self-paid dinner or a few more drinks in the brewery restaurant.
Afterwards, the bus departs at around 21.30h to return to the LRZ and, if possible, to Garching.
Should there be a wish, we will also try to stop at Freising station (connection to S-Bahn S1 and regional transport).
