How to get to LRZ ?
To visit LRZ you can use various modes of transportation, including U-Bahn (subway), bus, taxi, or car.
By U-Bahn
Using U6 U-Bahn, you can get off at station Garching-Forschungszentrum and enjoy a brief 450m stroll to the venue.

By Bus
Also you can take the bus and get off either at station Boltzmannstraße or Garching Forschungszentrum.
By Car
Take the A9 autobahn to the exit Garching Nord (exit no. 70 – Ausfahrt 70). Follow the signs to “Forschungsinstitute” through the B11 intersect straight ahead to the parking area to the left on the Ludwig-Prandtl-Straße. The LRZ computer building, a large cube, is observable from the parking area. From there follow the paths to LRZ.
By Taxi
Should you prefer taxis, please note the following approximate travel times and costs:
From the airport: takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and costs about 30/40 Euro.
From Ismaning: about 10 minutes, 12 to 15 Euro charge.
From central Munich: about 30 minutes, 25 up to 35 Euro will be charged.
